28 Apr Guisborough Masons provide much needed provisions to Guisborough Bridge Association
Zetland Lodge Charity Steward, Andy Hill, should moonlight as a magician, as he definitely pulled a rabbit out of the hat with this trick.
Through his contacts at Parfetts Cash and Carry in Middlesbrough, he was able to pounce on a new delivery of items which the food bank were desperately in need of.
He then spent his morning sorting and loading his van, which was absolutely full to the limits with £1,600.00 worth of supplies, before bringing it to Guisborough this afternoon.
We (me and Alison, Mick Bennett and Keith Riches from Old Guisborian and Priory Chapter) met him to help unload with the help of the Bridge volunteers.
To say that the donation was most welcome would be an understatement, and the Senior Support Worker Shona Joselin at the Bridge asked us to pass on their grateful thanks to the Guisborough Masons, for much needed support to the local vulnerable people in the community. Depending upon further funding, it is hoped to further assist with this in the future.
