The Masonic Province of Yorkshire North & East Ridings...

...has almost 4,000 members, meeting in almost 100 Lodges at 34 dedicated
Masonic Centres located everywhere in a large geographical area of Yorkshire.
From Middlesbrough in the north all the way down the beautiful Yorkshire coastline to Hull, across to the ancient city of York, and numerous villages inbetween.
We’ve been around for over 300 years and are proud to continue the traditions of Compassion, Benevolence and Integrity which have been the cornerstones of Freemasonry since its inception.
Our membership team is here to help you decide whether Freemasonry is right for you and your family by answering your questions and hopefully, dispelling some of the myths which have attached themselves to the subject over the years. Whether you are merely looking for new social opportunities or seeking a way to make a positive contribution in society, Freemasonry affords a wide range of benefits to members and their families.

Freemasonry in the Community

For hundreds of years, Freemasons have been involved in all levels of their local community.
Charitable work is second-nature to Freemasons and when new members join us, they are reminded that they should take an active part in their own community.
This could be by giving of their own time or their own expertise.
You will find, in these pages, how Freemasons get involved with their own diverse communities.
This can be anything from the TLC-Teddies For Loving Care Scheme, at local hospitals, to helping Air Training Corps Squadrons with donations for a new laptop.
We also raise funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research at York University, especially, recently, for Prostate Cancer Research.
