Ferrum lodge have joined the list of eleven lodges which now hold the Honorific of Grand Patron. The photograph shows the Chairman of Festival 2018, Denis Stubley with the newly installed master of the lodge, Paul Kriehn proudly displaying the certificate presented at the January meeting of the lodge.The even better news is that the lodge charity steward has assured the chairman that even more support will follow.
At the Installation meeting in February 2017 the newly Installed Worshipful Master of Minster Lodge no 4663, W. Bro. Martin Smith, was delighted to inform the Representative of the R.W. Provincial Grand Master, W. Bro Andrew Calvert, that a donation of £200 had been made to the Masonic Samaritan Fund Festival 2018 to mark the occasion of his visit to the lodge. W. Bro. Andrew thanked the Worshipful Master and brethren for this Donation and went on to congratulate the lodge for the tremendous effort they had already made raising over £28,400 to the Festival Fund and receiving ‘Grand Patron’…
The Chairman of Festival 2018 was in attendance at the April meeting of Ferrum lodge and was delighted to be presented with not one, but two cheques for the Festival campaign. Ferrum lodge donated a further £5000 to the Masonic Samaritan Fund, taking their total donations to over £20,000, and were elated to learn that they would now receive the honorific title of Patrons of Festival 2018.   A second cheque for £1600 was then presented to the Chairman from the proceeds of the Middlesbrough Lodge's Spring Ball, which was held recently at Gisbrorough Hall.
