The PMG is positioned, immediately below the Provincial Exec and responsible for, the implementation of the policies, formulated by the
Provincial Executive and reporting to a nominated member of the Executive.
It consists of five areas of responsibility:
WHY THE LODGE WAS FORMED
To serve Freemasonry in the Masonic Province of Yorkshire North and East Ridings by such activities as may best encourage and assist in promoting the principles of the Craft, but particularly in the development of a sense of Provincial unity.
To assist the Provincial Grand Master, his Deputy and Assistants, as directed and required, at any appropriate Masonic function and to ensure the maintenance of the highest standards within and without the Lodge on any such occasion.
To encourage the advancement of Masonic knowledge, dignity and charity, throughout the Province, by excellence in example and professionalism in working.
The members of PGSC are selected from the Chapters around the Province and in addition to the same principles and duties of the Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge, are to assist the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, his Deputy, the Second and Third Provincial Grand Principal. To encourage the Craft Mason to complete their journey through pure and antient Freemasonry.
