20 Jan St Cuthbert’s Lodge 630 cheque presentation
On Thursday 7th January 2021, St Cuthbert’s Lodge 630 in Howden, presented two cheques to two local good causes.
The newly installed Worshipful Master W Bro Brian Gould, presented a cheque for £250 to Mr Dave Sample from ‘Mission Trinity Food Bank’, Goole Branch, and a similar cheque for £250 to Mr Giles Conlon from the ‘Goole Branch of the YMCA’.
W Bro Gould stated that: ” St Cuthbert’s Lodge raises money throughout the year through raffles and charity events, we felt that these two local charities would would benefit from such a donation. The charities, like many others have seen extra pressures in recent months due to the Covid Pandemic, so we hope the donations will help both organisations continue to help local people at this difficult time”.
Dave Sample from Mission Trinity said: “A big thank you to all at the Howden Masonic Lodge, this donation means we can keep running for at least six weeks, buying fresh food for those in need, helping to fulfil their requirements”.
Giles Conlon from the YMCA in Goole added: “A huge thanks from all the staff and residents at the YMCA. This money will go directly to the residents to allow them to purchase food, warm clothing and essentials that they need”.
